P5 search field from our websites

Hey all,

I would like to have the ability to put a search field on my website that returns only my clips from P5. I spoke with Tom about this many months ago but I haven't followed up on it till now. For those of you familiar with Alamy, they offer this feature for all their photography contributors. They give each contributor a unique bit of html code to paste into their website. This is what it looks like and how it works (not sure if pasting this code will work here).

<strong><a href="http://www.alamy.com/stock-photography/11EC1E47-BB39-48EA-B19E-C594DFE73104/Bryan+Mullennix.html">Stock photography by Bryan Mullennix at Alamy</a></strong>

(The whole code didn't seem to work. Try this link:)

All searches would be conducted within your individual catalogs at P5 but there could be a checkbox option that allows the buyer to then search all of P5 if they aren't finding what they want in your catalog. Even if a buyer eventually decided to search across the site the search html code would then work as a referral link. We win whether the buyer purchases from our individual collections or from someone else. P5 gets the benefit of all of our individual marketing bringing more buyers to the site.

Yes! Yes! Yes! This would be very cool - but P5 would need to also integrate the referrer function into such a mechanism. Similar to the widget production tool, create a search box production tool. That would be awsome!

Yep, we're on it. We should have something ready soon.

Fantastic.. - I am ready to make good use of something like this - I am actually building a site dedicated to the presentation of P5 widgets and such a service. Coming soon - www.frameclip.com

Way cool! Can't wait to see and start using this feature. Thanks Tom!

The responsiveness of Pond5 is remarkable.

I compare the attitude here against the response one gets to questions and suggestions at another place, and there is no similarity at all. Here ideas happen, over there one gets the Internet equivalent of a blank stare.

Blank stare.

Ok, we've got a basic version of the search box set up on the referral page, at the bottom. Embed it and let us know what you think.

We'll be adding some more elements (like the option to search all clips on p5) and doing some other tweaks, so let us know if you have requests/suggestions.

Thanks for the idea Bryan!

Question? Does this code work as a referral link also? It would be great to have it at the bottom of e-mails that I send.
