super 8

I recently aquired a super 8mm film camera, I cant find a whole lot of documentation on them, or at least specific documentation. I could buy the manual but its 60something dollars.... but thats not gonna happen :P

Anyway I would really like to get the lense off and attach it to the 5d. Because its 1.2 and it has a really nice wide angle...Ive already attached weird lenses to my 5d I know it can most likely be done.

BUT..... I cant figure out how to get it off. Is it supposed to come off? Some of them do right? I don't want to have to use the hacksaw, because I may want to use it.

Who develops super 8 film anyway? Any thoughts on how to do that? Is it expensive? I heard wallmart will do it, but that seems unlikely.

Just did a Google search and came up with these two places. Not too expensive.

And this place that has a ton of super 8 info

With the implication that you CAN change the lense, there is a little notch on the camera as if it is a place to line up the lense as you attach it. Still, when I push pull, try holding down different buttons it doesnt seem to come off.

There is always a hacksaw and epoxy.

C4 or DM12 usually works but only really, really small amounts....

Depends on the camera, but usually the lense is NOT meant to come off. Or more precisely, if it doesn't come off easily, it's not meant to come off at all.

I have two super 8 cameras and the lens are not removable on either one. I also have a keystone K50 16mm with removable lens.
