$50 price cap?

No sales here neither!

p.s. Pond5 should be renamed into NOSALES.COM - the stock agency that guarantees artists no sales at all!

Yep. Cap is back again. No sales, though. Let's see next days, weeks how they will continue. No sale era is not just here, it is global. Lousy $3.60 on SS yesterday, HD. Autumn is comming, sales hopefully too! :)

Very concerned with the lack of sales. Are we to lower prices just to show up in search? Please let us know how we can alter our portfolios without going dirt chep. Last month was 57% slower than usual, this month so far is 0.0%, please help!

the cap is 80$ for hd,(quite reasonable) so if you have hd priced under they show up on search...

It puzzles me how Pond 5 could introduce a $50 cap without apparently understanding the dire consequences of their actions. At least the $80 cap for HD is a welcome improvement but I fear that it will take some time for Pond 5 to regain the respect it once had from contributors.

Ok but what about 4k with HD diwnconverted. HD under 80 but what is the cut off for 4k and does it impact the visibility. My HD is under 80, always has been and still dry in sales this month...Thanks!

jamesbenet...if the hd downconverted is priced below 80$ it shows on the search..so i guess who is having a drop in sales,it has nothing to do with the cap if the hd is priced below 80$....

James Benet. At first Pond 5 set the cap at $50 this lasted for over ten days so anything over $50 did not show on the initial search results. Now the cap is set at from $80 for HD.

Thanks all, lets see what happens Day 7 and no sales this month, maybe recession is already here and companies/people have slowed buying.

Jamesbenet:: i have thought the same thing about a recession could be slowing things down. I also think Pond5s price cap has caused a ripple effect in many ways. Back in the day i had a website much like pond5 only listing my own works. I can tell you when ever i messed with the prices even in a small way my sales went down.. I think people are always looking for the best deal and if they see prices all over the map they stop shopping. And pond5 has been dishing out discounts so maybe people are waiting for sales. I understand testing! but the way they did this burned my biscuit. All this crap did for me is make me reach out to new libraries. It my fault for having all my eggs in one basket. Loyalty is something earned I would have been happy with a heads up. If the sites is in a nosedive I would still expect some type of heads up. Everyone seller on pond5 need to make plans on how to pay bills and buy food. I guess some of the high ups don't get that.
