I do the same. Actually I have always edited my stock footage in After Effects.
I created a saved setting for ColorFinesse for my c300 and the pocket camera.

Don I'll send that to you, it may get you started for your pocket cam clips.

Thanks Jake, I'm sure it will help. I have AE so I just need to play with all options.

Color Finesse for me as well. It does a great job.

The RGB Curves plugin in Premiere is a pretty handy tool

"Stationary shots are no problem but a POV driving through a parking lot with autumn color leaves is a real pain..."

Shots with radical light changes are gonna be difficult to do with this camera. When it blows out it really blows out (highlights I'm talking). If the changes aren't too intense you can ride the levels in AE by using the standard Levels adjustment and key framing the values.

Forgive me for being clueless, but isn't part of the whole point of a higher bit rate/color depth codec or shooting RAW that you get more detail especially in complex/repeating patterns and high motion?

Big +1 on Color Finesse. Very cool. Might buy the standalone, but wish they had it for Vegas plugin since my workflow incorporates Vegas for normal things, AE/ColorFinesse for heavy lifting.

Sure is. This isn't anything strange or new to people that have been shooting with the RED camera for years.
But it is new to the rest of the world in workflow.

Isn't radical light changes a problem for any camera? Especially a DSLR. I used to set the zebras on this camera to 100% but now I set it to 80 or 90% depending on the shot and that gives me a lot more to work with.

Kinotehnik has introduced a loupe for the BMPCC and it is available now. Unfortunately it does not have a diopter. Available at B&H (and others) for $159.

According to someone I spoke with at Zacuto, they will have a Z-Finder for the camera available in January.

The Hoodman cinema loop works. It's not a perfect fit but close, and it has a diopter.

Uploaded a few from the camera. Seems to be a little easier.
