Lots of changes, not the ones the Artists consider critical to their business. Hope they were critical to P5 income ... Not sure if the current pricing is a way to devalue 4K footage or increase value of HD prices. The suggestions have been made dozens of times and we were told the fix was on it's way not just a test wording change. Yes +1 Jake. SEevArt suggestion has been said many times before ... "batch tag video" allow setting of two prices, one for HD and one for 4K. P5 has always bragged about the Artists being able to set their own price, that is not a true fact with the advancement with 4K and HD.

we've had downconvert a few months now, seems this should be a high priority for them, hopefully it's rolled out soon.

Please give us the option to set our own prices for downconverted hd.

This should really be a priority, like many I am now trying to do it all in 4k if possible.

Don't count on Pond5 fixing this problem. If they really wanted to fix this it would have been done the first week everyone began throwing a fit. At this point they send the occasional person to the forums to say that a fix is in the works to appease the contributors. They are hoping that given enough time people will forget about the problem and they will have successfully forced people to price 4k far below the going rate. I'm so fed up with Pond5 and their complete lack of care for their contributors. The only reason people are still contributing here is because up until recently they were very successful at selling our content. Now the forums are loaded with threads about how they are not having any sells. Pond5 had better be very careful. If their sales continue to drop people will not be willing to help them out like they are at http://www.revostock.com. There's a company that understands communication and cares about their contributors. I can put up with low sales and hard times. I won't put up with the way Pond5 treats its contributors.

Well, i went back to good old manual associations.Done within the day since their workload seems to be manageable these days.
All seems good as far as pricing.One step back, but i already feel way better.

jakerbreaker: revo sucks big time at sales. at least for me. i have one sale at about apx. 2 months. whereas here i have 15 or so...im on the audio side. and i dont get how contributors "help" revo...they raised (or better said, he, cuz i only see one employer, craig, in that website...) the withdrawal limit from 25 to 100 a year and a half ago, saying it's short term. we put up with it, what can we do?? giving them money would have meant helping them, but having no other possibility but to accept the withdrawal limit raising isn't...
but then again, we are giving them money, since those unpaid earnings stay there blocked in revo's account and generate interest for them, i guess...

@livingroom

Thats exactly my point. Revo is doing horrible with sales and has been for quite some time. Yet if you read the comments in their blog posts you will see that people are very supportive of Craig and willing to help out in whatever way they can. He is very open and clear about the problems happening in the company and very willing to do what he can to help us (even if it may be limited). I emailed him about their system not reading IPTC metadata from the files and within 3 days he had it up and running making my submission process so much easier. I have been emailing SS for over two years about that and am completely ignored just like many of the problems here. There have been 3 or 4 other times I requested changes be made and he replied immediately and most all the suggestions were completed within a week of asking. My point is that if Pond5 gets to where they are in the same position as Revo, no way in a million years are the contributors going to be supportive and understanding. The way they treat us here is awful. The second they start having bad sales, Pond5 will die immediately because none of the contributors will stick around to help them through hard times.

I started uploading HD and just went into my preferences which allows you to price 4k and HD independently. Otherwise P5 applies a 25% discount from 4k to HD. That's too high for an HD file if you price 4k at, say, $125. An HD is then $90 and I usually put them in the $50-$60 range.

I will say that I had high hopes for P5 but something they've done has pushed sales off a cliff. I still think they can be the top video site and was hoping they stayed a contributor friendly agency, fighting for us as a part of their marketing campaigns. The funny thing is that they've stopped participating over at MSG, similar to SS. That is always worrisome when that happens.

So thanks for the extra preview window by the keyword block. No how about something that has been asked for years. The ability to attach a model or property release from the data input page instead of having to bounce to different screens to do it. There are a lot of Artist requested improvements that will help us a lot more than most changes. Artists wants easy, simple and fast data input capability.

Still no response, why on the view all sales screen we can no longer click a thumb to make description or keyword changes to improve quality???? Really makes making improved wording more difficult. A real step backwards.

Many Artists sound very frustrated, probably because "improvements" are making it more difficult and slower doing our part of the P5 job.

I would rather start seeing more marketing going on from Pond5. Seems they have left the internet lately when it comes to that.
