Seems Canon is taking a lot of flak over the twenty grand price tag.

J Abrams grabbed some test footage by sticking a card in the camera and pressing record.
16,000 iso. doesn't seem to be much noise.

Very little or no rolling shutter.

That video seems to have a large depth of field at T2.6, I guess it is a smaller sensor.

The sensor is the size of a grain of sand.
Pretty amazing when you think about it.

I know you have all seen this. That lens must be many times more expensive than the C300.

Philip Bloom ordered his Scarlet-X. This guy is also going for the Scarlet-X. In the case of Bloom I interpret that he is saying that he is putting his money into the Scarlet-X because it will be less prone to becoming obsolete which is what is currently happening to 480p and 720p video-cameras. His phrase: "but 4k is future proofing. Like when I shot HD for SD projects a few years back…."
