I just wanted to put an update to my original post. I ended up subscribing to Adobe Creative Cloud. I did the full package for $49.99/month so I have access to all of their Adobe programs. So far I'm just enjoying using Premiere Pro but intend to start learning AE with some help from Creative Cloud & YouTube tutorials! I committed for 1 year and so far am really enjoying the Cloud services.
