After reading complaints in a previous thread about music getting flagged by the YouTube's content id system I think it is important for musicians that don't participate in that program to let people know. Basically it will help weed out some of the music that is hurting the marketplace for everyone else. If you guarantee your music is YouTube friendly post a link to your profile.

Would any new musicians like to add their profiles?

I completely understand why musicians choose to protect their music by using content id to monitor their tracks, and you know Alumo I respect you and your music. I don't mean it to be a discrimination type thing for other musicians. The process for clearing the claims is easy and really is not a deal breaker. A lot of times the initial reaction for customers that get a claim for content id, especially if its the first time, is somewhat irritating. I agree with you it does protect music from theft, and if someone steals your music and uploads it to content id without your knowledge it could cause issues.
On the other hand there are media creators that are making a product for a customer of there's where they don't want their end client to have to fiddle around with a license from pond5. Ex) A company making explainer videos for a client buys an ae template and music for a project for one of there customers. They wouldn't want the video to get flagged for their customer. Even though it was properly licensed, and simple to have the claim dismissed.
I think it's important for customers to have a choice and all the information available so they can purchase the music that not only of fits their project, but also fits their projects needs.
So with that in mind, I don't want to demonize or discriminate anyone, especially fellow musicians that choose to protect their music using content id. I just think it's important that buyers are aware of 100% what they are getting with no surprises. If a track is high quality, fits there usage, and triggers content id the buyer should know so they can make the choice. Some it wont matter because they know how simple and easy it is to dispute the claim and everything is fine. On the other hand others need the music to not be part of the content id system for whatever reason.
Personally, I don't have my music in content id. Others do, and it's just a choice by musicians on how to protect their product. I would like it if there was an option when uploading a new track that said something like "Music in Content ID: Yes or No" with a little question mark that is filled with information with the link you posted Alumo. I don't think any musician should be made to feel like they are doing something wrong in trying to protect their property, but at the same time I think it should be out in the open.

i could say that 90% of my music is "youtube free". the exception are my lullaby songs which were published on CD by CDBaby and signed with rumblefish.

I have seen the light recently, I used to be against digital fingerprinting our music with content id services as well.
I think using a content ID system to protect our music is just fine, whats a license the customers pay extra for good for if they don't need to use it. Thats kind of whats separates our music from pleasure listening music and making it production music. If they get a copyright notification they just simply acknowledge they have a license and its cleared up.
I have a pretty successful youtube channel and its crazy how much my music is stolen or simply used with the the preview watermark without proper license. Content ID cuts down on all that.

Content ID can be a problem even if you paid for the license to use the audio. I recently had to contact BFM Digital over a Content ID notice I had over one of Sound Idea's items, which I paid for and had every right to use.
The good news for anyone with a clear conscience is that BFM Digital removes the content ID notices very quickly. I sent them an e-mail explaining my situation and they removed the ID notice in about 10 minutes.
