Hi all!!!
I am just trying to create some daily income as all of us ;)
My question about creating collections!
Is that necessarily for better improve views or downloads or it really doesn't matter?
What is your experience with organizing your media?
Please check my files and put some serious advices what should I improve for more downloads?

I built an entire website to drive traffic to my "collections". As they are topical, it makes it more feasible when a buyer needs topic specific footage. Here http://stockfootage.vadervideo.com/ and here http://stockfootage.vadervideo.com/content/haboob example of what I mean. If done properly, you can drive quite a bit of traffic to your collections as well as Pond5

Website is a smart solution! thank you.
But wondering who is the actually real buyer? is there any chance to know who is searching?
Still don't understand importance of 'tags'! Clip name is always more searchable. Isn't ?

It really is difficult to know how a clip is found and bought. P5 knows. When a clips is sold it would be great for the seller to be giving the keywords search used, if it was direct P5 or Google or an affiliate site and if a search was done in collections. It might help all of us to better manage our inventory.

i strongly support the idea of haveing some more statistic and insights about how our clips are found...
for me selling on pond5 is really a magic process beyond my control!

I got around to doing a collection too and have no idea what kind of results it will yield. Here is my "Indie Pop Rocks" Collection
in the music category.

I also made a website to drive traffic. I think this is the right way to go. Here is the site

Very interesting Rus009, your site bears an uncanny resemblance to my http://www.stockvideoseller.com. Although I think (in the interests of generating referral commissions) your inclusion of some very unproductive sites is going to waste lots of newbies time. I could not justify sending people to fotolia for instance, a loser big time. Same goes for PIXTA - all feed back indicating low or no sales. Although they make it relatively risk free by accepting HDDS and key-wording for you. Unless your contributors are AE gurus / graphics types, folks seem to see little financial reward from Revostock these days as well.

Good stuff! This is precisely what I'm trying to do with my music..... but I can't seem to get my referral code to function on the tail end of a link to my collection.... When I had the "?ref=PatrickAThompson" on the end, it sends me to a page that reads "HTTP NOT FOUND".
Can we add the referral code for collection links??
Thanks!
