Glad they did a bunch of "research" and decided to force us to only have 2 prices for our video clips both of which suck. And! We're not even getting that! I purposefully priced my stuff for groups with an actual budget to buy clips (like Josh Gates/Discovery Channel.. which they did) not a bunch of youtubers with no budget. And about that, I did as a test, I lowered the price of one of my clips to almost nothing just as a test to see what happened. Would a bunch of people suddenly buy it? No. Because that's not how this works. Pond5 seems to thing if you lower prices that people will all of a sudden buy a lot. I found in my "research" that the only way your clips sell if someone actually needs it not because it's dirt cheap. I don't know why anyone in their right mind would even upload anything anymore to this site. I don't have all that many clips on here but all of them are 3D animation and it's good animation (35 years doing it) and on average I used to make $150 a month which was perfectly fine. A few times I made $1000 or more but now I'm lucky if I make $10. Seriously thinking about taking everything down. Am I right in that Pond5 took all of our footage and submitted it to AI learning and gave us all a few bucks for our troubles? That is what happened right? So pissed off. Anyone know of an alternate site that we can migrate to?

Just look at my images ?? you can not because i removed them, unfortunately i have been receiving 26 cents and even less for my images, bear in mind that for the aviation images my travel expenses alone were 15 dollars, so i have to sell 60 images to get my travel expenses, let alone my time and the 3000 dollar camera i use to take the images, the 200 dollar software for editing, then uploading key words, titles descriptions, all of that for 26 cents or less, the subscription model has ruined the stock industry, and when the offer is unlimited downloads for a price to make a profit means offering almost zero commission, the businesses rely on people not removing their work, when i get lowballed on a video they will be removed as well, the argument that these are sales you wouldn't have got doesn't make sense, first of all i don't want to sell that cheaply, secondly why should some fat executive, earning millions be allowed to earn mo0re in bonuses because he pays a pittance for professional images and video. back in the late 70s a photographer would easily receive 200 dollars per image, we will end up at 2c or 1c per image within five years, and 1 dollar per video or less, people will not remove their work that's the thing that allows this situation

Thanks guys. Sorry for the rant but I think I've just had it. Thanks Dave, I appreciate what you wrote. I just amazed how quickly this all went to shit. I sell 3D models on Turbosquid as well since 2006 and that's shit too. Hardly sell anything on that as well. Now I'm trying to get my YouTube channel monetized but it's slow going. Good luck everyone.

Hi Mate, unfortunately its gone this way, also not helped by artists setting their mark up at a pathetically low rate, like i said one low ball on the videos i have and they get pulled, I supply images for a book publishing company they pay $470 per cover, i also sell small items like post cards and greeting cards, I receive a dollar for a post card, and 5 dollars for a greetings card, so why should i be accepting 26 cents or less for an image that can be used on a news report or website. 20 years ago on a stock forum, a person was bragging about having one of her images, as the main image on a computer manufactures website, when someone pointed out that she didn't earn enough for a coffee, while a few years back that wouldn't have blinked at paying her 2-5000 dollars for the image, the image in question was a perfect underwater image of turtles, probably the housing for her camera was 5k, good luck and have a good new year
