Passwords and Phishing

There has been some Phishing attacks aimed at some competitors recently, so it might be a good idea to clarify some things just to be on the safe side:

You can always change your password on your profile page.

If you have forgotten your password, please use the Forgot Password link.

Pond5 will never ask for your password via email.

Pond5 will never need your password to Paypal nor Moneybookers.

There is a one way crypt-function that takes a password and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptographic_hash_function which is what we save in the database. Having the cryptic number it is very hard to figure out the password, so staff at Pond5 can never read your password. (When you log in, the password you entered is run in this function and compared to the value in the database) We can set your password to something, but it's preferable that you do this yourself using any of the links above.

We do not store any Credit Card numbers, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cvv2 nor expiry dates on Pond5.

Please keep https://www.pond5.com/ru/community?thread=216462.

Best regards,
Marcus
