April 2009 Footage stats posted - Way to go P5!

Hey there Everyone!

I just got Aprils Stats posted if your interested and I have put a new poll.

The last poll "Your Best Paying Agency per Month" has ended and the results are after the blog archive on the right hand side of the page and you'll see that Pond5 won by a landslide!
Pond5 also had the highest # of sales and most income for the month of April.

Your results are similar to what went on with my sales last month. P5 was far and away the best. I'm with all the other agencies you are with the exception of one (the one that fell off 85% for you). Right now I'm on pace for my BME at any agency here at P5 (from 15th to 15th). Still about 10 days to go, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Agree as well, P5 is great. In fact I just had another agency reject a clip after 1.5 mnths in the queue due to having recognisable logos etc... The bloody footage was shot on a deserted island with no humans... Anyways I complained, they said sorry and to resubmit and wait another 2 months... bullshit!!!

@kelmedia - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you :) - April was only $0.50 away from my last BME on Pond5 - so hey - close enough! LOL.

@ginclearfilm - If the other agency is the one I am thinking of, it's not surprising. I get stuff rejected for really weird reasons there myself, or they want me to change the video and re-render and re-upload....barf, I dont think so.

Thanks for the stats..........the swings in my sales are greater I believe for a couple reason: portfolio size (400) and all my images are video. Do you believe there is more volume in CG ?

Ahhh, it's so hard for me to tell because I don't do camera footage. I have an Canon HV20 - it's sits on my desk staring me in the face everyday, begging for me to use it, but when I look out the window, it's always raining (or maybe that's just an excuse because I am chicken and don't know how to use it properly hmmm.....)
