Have sales decreased?

270 tracks on my portfolio but most of them have 0 views. So for me it is logical not to have many sales...Maybe too many tracks on Pond5?? I really don't known how it works :)

reasons are various, personally my sales have had quiet periods but average out across longer periods. I believe there must a detrimental influence when other on-line libraries can join this one. One such library has uploaded over 42 000 tracks since the start of the year. The library that has done that is exclusive, but Pond5 is not so they can join - but i also suspect a deal going on somewhere. Such large quantities on the market must have an affect on what smaller independent producer can sell.

same here - sales really slowed down this month despite adding new material pretty much every day.

im not sure anybody ever knows exactly what's going on with the site.

i mean, there are so many variables involved, inside or outside pond5,
that i just dont know how one person could ever pinpoint the reason
for such decrease in sales.

===================

and in a way, the bigger the site gets, the more clients it attracts - they have more to choose from.

Man, and i thought i was the only one experiencing this problem. the odd thing is i made two very large sales right before this last quarter, and then after then i didnt get a single sale in about 2 weeks, which hasnt happened since joined p5 about 2 years ago. Perhaps maybe its another algorithm/website error. i remember not long ago when it wasnt showing stats for any views or sales. guess we shall wait and see

Yep, think so, too!

still, i entered the stock audio market at a time when most were throwing in the towel, claiming it to be an overstaturated market with steady devaluing. Still, over the past two years ive managed to make a fairly decent income with writing and submitting at least twice a week. I believe there are just usual "dips" in activity that come with the seasons. For instance middle winter/around the time of christmas my sales are usually horrible since i dont have any "festive" songs in my catalog. hopefully this is just a temporary summer slump!
