Sales drop !

Bigger concern for me is my most recent reviewed files are nowhere to be found on the site! Sales steady here

I think most saw a downturn last couple weeks. Thanksgiving is over but that should not have done anything to international sales, just US.

... in my case, silence on P5 began in last weeks of October ...

Yeah the Holidays without a doubt took there toll, but still this is LOW... I am starting to wonder if some outside sites that we are not aware of are doing allot of sales. Not to mention there discounted rates boosting there sales, also cyber Monday deals.

Honestly depending on the content you provide of coarse it is hard to compete with the much lower priced vendors out there. This whole price increase thing, I don't think was the right move for ALL content..

Time will tell though, hopefully things turn around. The other side of this is my content being sold for more on SS is doing about a low average currently. I think that could have some thing to do with the buyers they always targeted and the buyers P5 might have alienated with the price increase. Pond5 hopes to target the SS and other buyers though. So it might just be a waiting game for the success involved with that. Hard to say really, and that is what really stinks about all of this is it is just endless speculation really. I mean I know I have seen dips in my sales here and there, but who is to say the definitive cause of that.

One thing I can say definitively though is how I feel about it, and that is let down. I have dedicated years of my life, very long days, nights, weekends, all of it to just be sitting here thinking of getting an industry job outside of stock footage to have more balance in my life. There was a time when we were Pond5, and now it feels like we are an after thought. I don't think it is on purpose. At the same time I can not help feeling that way.

slow Oct for me too. Especially last 2 weeks.

October was ok for me, sales suddenly dropped around mid- November (maybe a bit earlier). I noticed an increase of my sales on the websites that offered discounts (thanksgiving, black, cyber whatever...). So that must be it.
I am hoping this discount period is over soon and that sales will pick up again here !

My sales seem to be picking up again. How about yours ?
