A fast-moving blaze in Paradise, Butte County, forced more than 30,000 people to flee on Thursday, November 8.

Camp Fire was ignited at around 6:30 am and exploded to more than 18,000 acres in just the first eight hours, turning the daytime sky black. A hospital a Mormon church and a McDonalds were among the buildings that burned to the ground.
