Description:
(CEEF) WARSAW, POLAND (JUNE 25, 2008) (REUTERS) EXTERIOR OF BELWADER PALACE VENUE FOR 'FRIENDS OF GEORGIA' TALK DELEGATES WHO ATTENDED TALKS ,INCLUDING POLISH FOREIGN MINISTER, RADOSLAW SIKORSKI (CENTRE FRONT) AND GEORGIAN FOREIGN MINISTER, EKA TKESHELASHVILI (NEXT TO SIKORSKI) TKESHELASHVILI AND SIKORSKI JOURNALISTS (SOUNDBITE) (Polish) POLISH FOREIGN MINISTER, RADOSLAW SIKORSKI SAYING: "Countries that are not convinced yet will send a clear signal to Georgia's neighbours that continued unexpected and provocative actions may well destabilise and reverse past regional agreements into a situation that could be more drastic than before. This may change their stance and convince them to support MAP, even in December." TKESHELASHVILI AND SIKORSKI SHAKING HANDS CAMERAS (SOUNDBITE) (English) GEORGIAN FOREIGN MINISTER, EKA TKESHELASHVILI SAYING: "So that we are not in this continent in the situation when Russia as a sole country can dictate the rules of the game. So that if some thing constructive and good irritates Russia, it's not good, we have to explain well to Russia what does this mean but at the same time Russia has to understand that it's done for the common good rather than anything else." (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF STATE FOR EUROPEAN AND EURASIAN AFFAIRS MATTHEW BRYZA SAYING: "Russia has escalated tension for the last couple of months in Abkhazia. Georgia has responded with a very measured and positive peace plan and with a lot of patience. And we heard that patience from the foreign minister today but we also heard from her the need for steps to be taken to illicit from Russia a more constructive approach which means removing the soldiers that it sent into Abkhazia illegally in violation of the 1994 cease fire agreement."
