Description:
ZURICH, SWITZERLAND (NOVEMBER 29, 2010) (REUTERS) BELLERIVE HOTEL, WHERE THE BRIEFING TOOK PLACE ANDY ANSON, CEO OF THE ENGLAND 2018 BID COMMITTEE, ARRIVING AT THE PRESS BRIEFING PHOTOGRAPHERS (SOUNDBITE) (English) ANDY ANSON, CEO OF THE ENGLAND 2018 BID COMMITTEE, SAYING: "Of course I'm disappointed with the timing, and it's certainly not going to win us any votes. So we just have to see what happens tonight and move on. I, for one, won't be watching it, I've got other things to do." PHOTOGRAPHERS (SOUNDBITE) (English) ANDY ANSON, CEO OF THE ENGLAND 2018 BID COMMITTEE, SAYING: "It's a small group of 22 people, in a way it's a brotherhood of Executive Committee members. If you hurt one of them of course it has an impact on the others. That's just inevitable. I mean, any 22 people who work together and are close together and sit on a committee together, they're in it together, they're FIFA, they're one organisation. And of course if one of them gets hurt, the others feel it. That's just life." PHOTOGRAPHERS (SOUNDBITE) (English) ANDY ANSON, CEO OF THE ENGLAND 2018 BID COMMITTEE, SAYING: "We're nine competitors bidding across the two campaigns. Eight of those have got their own bid, and it really does complicate it. You can't think about who is going to win and how you're going to win without thinking about the other implications on the other campaign, it's just inevitable. And in a way I agree with with what Mohammed Bin Hamman said, these discussions to some extent were always inevitable once you had two World Cup campaigns running consecutively."
