(SOUNDBITE) (English) HASSAN GUYO "We believe they will damage our environment, and they will disturb our ecosystem and therefore this is nothing as far as the damage is concerned." OFFICIALS AT KENYA WILDLIFE SERVICE SITTING AROUND FIRE (SOUNDBITE) (English) NEHEMIAH ROTICH, DIRECTOR, KENYA WILDLIFE SERVICE "As long as it's a temporary effect you look at the gains that will come out of it, after you've have made sure that whatever damage you cause is not irreparable. It's a question of balancing." ZEBRAS (SOUNDBITE) (English) BEATRICE BUYU, MANAGING DIRECTOR, KENYA TOURISM BOARD "It is going to impact very positively - I believe to us, this was really the best chance that came along, because we all know that the American market is a very very lucrative market. It's got a very high potential just in terms of sheer numbers. If we could get even a small percentage of those tourists, you know, streaming into Kenya we would be smiling all the way to the bank." BEACH VARIOUS OF HOTEL (SOUNDBITE) (English) JAMES GITUANJA, MANAGING DIRECTOR, SAROVA SHABA HOTEL "In fact it is very timely, because at the moment when we have the tourism business has not been doing well. With such kind of TV series coming with a very high distribution, it is going to impact positively on the tourism trade and especially in the American market." VARIOUS OF HOTEL GROUNDS (SOUNDBITE) (English) HASSAN GUYO, WASO LAND TRUST "If it doesn't give us any benefits as a community of this country, whether it shows a good picture of Kenyans, it doesn't mean anything to us, because we are already poor. This is the only resource we have. If the community who are living here cannot get a benefit out of it, to show a good image of Kenya doesn't mean anything to us." HOMES OF LOCAL PEOPLE (SOUNDBITE) (English) NEHEMIAH ROTICH, KENYA WILDLIFE SERVICE "The noise that is being made by the local community in my view is in fact very positive. The communities are bargaining to get more benefit from that activity and as you know, for a long time, the local communities have not received an equitable benefit from activities within the tourism industry or within the wildlife industry for that matter. So it is healthy for them to bargain."
