Triops longicaudatus (commonly called longtail tadpole shrimp, American tadpole shrimp, or rice tadpole shrimp) is freshwater crustacean of order Notostraca, resembling miniature horseshoe crab. Elongated, segmented body, flattened shield-like brownish carapace covering two thirds of thorax, and two long filaments on abdomen.
