Because what I see is not good for me and for many people including my children. I am old I am not going to live much longer, and I am here because of the youth's futures. What I am going to say is to encourage people to attend this popular march while Jomav is still not fulfilling with his duty." VARIOUS OF PROTESTERS (SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) ATTENDEE, SANA CANTE, SAYING (APPROXIMATE TRANSLATION): "Jomav has to leave, because of his incapacity. As citizens, we will keep on organising popular marches to ask for our rights. As long as he has no solutions for people we will not stop. Everybody knows -- that's why we are going to keep on demonstrating until we get what people want." PROTESTERS WALKING (SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) ATTENDEE, SANA CANTE, SAYING (APPROXIMATE TRANSLATION): "We believe our future will be better and the country will develop." POLICE WALKING AHEAD OF PROTESTERS VARIOUS OF CROWD (SOUNDBITE) (English) ATTENDEE, BADILE SAMI, SAYING: "We take place in this protest because we want our president to step down. According to our current situation, he's a symbol of unity. He's a symbol of unity and a guarantor of our constitution, but he has been doing the contrary. He has been violating the constitution and dividing people. You know, you go out saying it's an open presidency, and the regions can decide to divide the people, ethnic group against another ethnic group. And he has been creating many violations in the country. We don't want him anymore. We want him to step down. It's the time. We are fed up of his bad managing the country."
