KIEV, UKRAINE (DECEMBER 4, 2019) (REUTERS) ZELENSKIY AND LOFVEN DURING GIVING NEWS CONFERENCE (SOUNDBITE) (Ukrainian) UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT, VOLODYMYR ZELENSKIY, SAYING: "I want very much for our people to celebrate New Year with their families, at home, in Ukraine. That is why this humanitarian issue is very important, personally important for me. I want a big swap, a swap called 'all for all' like it was called in Minsk. I am interested in all our people, I want them to be at home." MEDIA (SOUNDBITE) (Ukrainian) UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT, VOLODYMYR ZELENSKIY, SAYING: "I am sure that we will raise a question of chances to hold local elections and of how they will be held. The most important thing for us is that they must be held according to the Ukrainian legislation." NEWS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS (SOUNDBITE) (English) SWEDISH PRIME MINISTER, STEFAN LOFVEN, SAYING: "Swedish position is very clear. The sanctions against Russia are there for a reason - for the conflict in the east of Ukraine and annexation of Crimea. And as long as the reasons for the sanctions are there, the sanctions need to be extended all over. So there is only one way of easing the sanctions that is fulfilling the Minsk agreements. It is as simple as that and it's very important for us, once again, to point at the European security order. This is a matter for Ukraine, yes, and Ukrainian people, but in the broader perspective it is also very important issue for all European countries." MEDIA (SOUNDBITE) (Ukrainian) UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT, VOLODYMYR ZELENSKIY, SAYING: (WHEN ASKED ABOUT IMPEACHMENT HEARINGS IN U.S.) "It does not affect my work in any way. I think it is more affecting the work of the United States and its institutions. With all respect to our strategic partner, the United States of America, with all due respect - and we are grateful for any sort of assistance - but Ukraine is an independent country and has problems of a higher priority. Thank you!" ZELENSKIY AND LOFVEN SHAKING HANDS AND POSING FOR PICTURES
