Ref. Places 26. This view is from the top of one of the four gun emplacements or casemates at the Longues sur Mer battery in Normandy, France. A view straight out to sea then slow pans inland showing the coastal artillery battery. Constructed by the German Navy in 1943 the battery, code name WN48, was armed with four 150 mm marine guns and was active during D-Day.
