British Riflemen In Wood

Soldiers of the 95th Rifles, hidden among the tress of a wood, load and fire their rifles.

The 95th were the first rifle regiment in the British army, established in 1803, and famed for their green jackets as well as their skill as crack-shots and skirmishers. They took part in numerous battles throughout the Peninsular war against Napoleon as well as in the War of 1812 against America and the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
