Marlee Matlin Hollywood Walk of Fame


On May 6th, 2009, Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin was honored with the 2,383rd star on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6667 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. Matlin was not only the first deaf person to receive an Academy Award for her debut performance in 1986's "Children of a Lesser God," but also the youngest recipient of the Best Actress award at the age of twenty-one. The ceremony was held on the sidewalk outside of Musso & Frank's where she was joined by family, long time friends and other celebrities including the Fonz Henry Winkler as well as fans, news crews and paparazzi.
