file storage

We're upgrading the file storage. It might take a day or two for new uploads to show in "my uploads". Please be patient, your new uploads are not lost.

Done. There are a few clips in the queue so your clips should be processed within a day.

good stuff, most of my 'missing' files have popped up in the 'untagged' section, I will give it a few more hours for the rest to appear - then if they are still missing I will start to cry.

I have been trying for the last few days to upload files via your java application and FTP. I get a database error with the java app and everything seems to work fine with FTP except for the fact that after I upload files they never show up in my upload section. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Tillasmax,

We recently sent you an email about this. Your uploads weren't processed by the system because they were encoded using an unsupported codec (JPEG2000). If they're encoded with one of our supported codecs, they will be automatically processed and appear on your Uploads page.

There's more details in the email - drop us a line if you didn't receive it.

What sort of database error are you getting with the java uploader?

Shedli,

Thank you for your prompt response. I did not receive the email. I read through your documentation and must of missed the prefered codec. I have all of my source files in uncompressed format so I can re-encode them to anything I want. What is the best codec to use for this site? Thank you again for all your help.

And the java app error was:

"Failed to fetch relevent row in database."

Just re-sent the email... If you don't receive it, please double check the address listed on your https://www.pond5.com/zh/index.php?page=my_profile.

Here's the link to our https://www.pond5.com/zh/index.php?page=document_view&document_name=video_requirements
(or you can just click on "review footage requirements" from your MyPond page).

Material that is computer generated and progressive-scan - which yours appears to be - should be prepared using the PhotoJPEG codec at a quality setting of "high" (75%) or better.

We'll look into the java error asap. Thanks!

Still having a few upload problems, the same problem as before - I upload clips with your Javascript window thing, and at the end of the process it tells me everything is ok, but they do not appear in my 'untagged' section.

i've never had a problem until today, but i uploaded 3 files earlier today via FTP and 2 showed up but the third isn't there. And on my FTP program, it shows as all three files being uploaded completely. not sure if i should re-upload or not???

I have tried a couple of times more, files still do not show up.
