Can you please critique my portfolio?

Hello!
I'm a newbie and I want to know how can I improve my videos. Are my prices too high? Are my subjects not good? Is the quality of the videos bad? I realize they don't look like a pro's videos, but I'm trying to do what I can with the equipment I have.
I'd be very grateful to hear any kind of suggestions! Thank you in advance!

I wish I had your courage to come straight out and ask for a critique. Meet another ProSumer shooter. We have to start somewhere. I'm no expert but I saw the time getting longer and figured you're on pins and needles.
Why is this clip and those similar to it priced so cheap in comparison to the others?
I like this one very much; winding road and fall color.
Personally, I would like to have seen a bit more color in the leaves and mountains; The windiness would still be there.
It is truly a numbers game; the more material you have the more sale you make. So work on getting as many good shots up as you can. Also different shots sell better at some agencies than others so try a few to see which are most profitable for you.
As for pricing in general there are many threads here about that. The price high, price low debate is alive and well. I'm still on the fence about pricing. My footage is priced mid-range while my photos are cheap.
Good luck. Hopefully others will chime in to help you.

Critique is not necessary as that is a totally subjective process. Your clips have been approved so that means you are on par. :) There are about a million theories on pricing, what to shoot and so on. If you get into such a conversation you will find that the end result is meaningless. Instead, time is better served just shooting and getting better at your trade. Of course if you really want to get info (shameless self promotion about to hit... ) you could always visit http://www.stockmediaartist.com/ and get the most valuable resource ever. And I state that lightly (like I said - shameless self promotion.) :)

Well then.. I know you haven't read the book because I don't talk about pricing, but rather the things to take into consideration when trying to come up with a pricing model. So there! (Evil laugh)

Really nice stuff, very creative. I would raise the pricing a bit on most of those.

it has nothing to do with . . . pricing . . . creativity . . . or whether your clip is of the latest technical standard . . . is it what someone needs . . . put yourself in the place of an editor or director . . . can I spend the time or money to get someone to shoot this scene for me or create this graphic in the style I want . . . just shooting your puppy dog, or your Mum . . . just ani't good enough . . . IS IT USEFUL ? if it is they will find the budget . . .

I am afraid I need to agree wholeheartedly with LoveGraphix, it's a marketplace and lots of factors determines sales, including level of demand (topic/subject) price and technical quality. Think before you submit. Think about and study the market. ANYTHING you can get out a car and walk to is done already. Can you do it better? If not, best to not do it at all. Find subjects people want to buy. My blog http://www.stockvideoseller.com reflects my own attempts to sort out these vexing issues over the last few years. It's free.
All these shots look well composed and above the grade for first offerings, particularly the studio shots. You have a good start. All the best!
