GH4

That's a very interesting suggestion, although there won't be any room for color correction and other changes. Do the agencies accept the files that come straight out of the GH4?
Normstock 20 May 2014 13:52
It records AVCHD, MP4 and MOV so yes.

Although smaller I find that every clips needs a little more than a trim on both ends. Sometimes a little stabilization, on dslr captures a little sharpness, possibly a little brightness or contrast. The closer to original the better, this allows the user or buyer more room for adjusting to meet their needs.

Good points. That is why I am using a tripod, manual white balancing and in camera tweaking so post work might not be necessary. I believe providing the original trimmed clip from the camera provides the most pristine footage to the customer.

@mark29 what format and size are you submitting?
BunFest 20 May 2014 20:17
Normstock,

I know you can adjust the curve in GH4 before shooting, so it is really easy to submit in-camera-edited-clip direct to P5, smaller and quicker.. Wow.
I don't have the GH4 yet...
mark29 20 May 2014 20:24
Normstock, I am submitting .mov 3840x2160 29.97p 100Mbps from the camera.

Thanks mark, that's what I'm shooting also.

mark29--beautiful clips in your portfolio--you should charge more for them, IMHO!
