I did not see any option to set the % anywhere. I would always got for 100% if i could. So far it is ok but will try sony vegas and perhaps power video just to compare. Appreciate your help and advice.

You must try and play around with this software. Do try other programs too.
100% is definately too much because you don't win anything, but bigger file and storage, 80-90% is OK.

Sony Vegas will easily let you crop the video....let me know if you need to know how to do it.

Cropping or expanding is limited to 5% at some agencies. Of course cropping a 4K to HD you can retain 25% and its still HD.

He means really cropping, not trimming. I told him just reshoot (for better quality) it when possible instead of cropping.
