Agreed Jake.... they need to really fix this issue soon.
dapoopta 27 Apr 2015 16:30
Jona, I think they should add that column for us and then we can download and populate if needed. You don't want everyone in there messing up their CSV file.
SevArt 27 Apr 2015 17:03
Of course I will not use CSV option... too many files to risk.

@sevart and others. I'll happily forward any requests from here to make pricing of downconverted clips easier.

Are you thinking a new page where you can set the price for all downconverted clips as a percentage of 4k price or something? Feel free to PM me your ideas and I'll see what I can do to move forward on this.

Thanks a lot!

I've noticed lately a couple of (dont want to use the term disturbing) things in my footage.
In some of my earlier manually associated footage (hd and 4K for example) ,for some reason only the hd price displays and in some others only the 4K price. It usually should be both prices ie: 79-149 and below the price the max resolution 4096X2304.

Now the interesting thing is that in those that only show as HD the price below is the price of the 4K! associated clip and vice versa for the 4K clips. This is very bad.

Another thing.
In recent 4K clips (which are already online) that i decided to use the auto-downconvert option instead of the old manual associations, the prices for both hd and 4K haven't updated in days although i have manually changed the prices.A lot of my clips that were in the 74-99 (hd-4K) price and i decided to change to 99-149 the older price is displayed.Thais is a serious bug.One might click on a file and once it opens he/she will realize that both prices are way off.

Just do something about this the more i keep digging the more examples i find.

We have been giving suggestions since the day it was changed. There are numerous forum topics with great ideas and pleas from the contributors to get this resolved. Has Pond5 really not noticed these? We have been told time and time again that Pond5 has a fix in the works but here we are two months later and Pond5 is making it sound like they are just now becoming aware of the problem and looking for suggestions! This is horrendous. I cannot believe how badly this has been handled. Just this month I have lost hundreds of dollars because of the awful auto pricing system. This is a problem that could have at least had a bandaid fix by the end of the first day it was asked for. I can't come up with any good reason it has taken this long other than maybe Pond5 is trying to force its contributors to price their content in a certain way. Why can we not get this resolved? I don't want to continue wasting my time giving suggestions that are already written down in numerous forums. I want Pond5 to come out and say we will have a fix on this date. (I'm talking days not months). If nothing else give us a bandaid fix. Let us at least change the percentage the auto price system uses (currently 75% of the 4K price). I am beginning to sound like a broken record but I don't know what else to do or say. This is such a large problem that has been ignored by Pond5 (I know administration will come out and say they are not ignoring the problem and that they are hard at work. I'm sorry but to have this problem for over two months is ignoring it). If it weren't my full time job I would stop uploading until it was fixed (both to prevent my non purchased and over priced new files from disappearing in the search algorithms and also because I can't bring myself to support a company that is refusing to support us). Unfortunately I don't have that option because I rely on stock footage for my living. My families financial situation and future is being greatly affected by your inadequate responses. I'm not just a contributor asking for a change. I am a husband and father working hard to feed my family only to find myself banging my head on a brick wall that shouldn't be there in the first place. I hope you keep that in mind.

Jonasdev here's a simple (i hope) ,temporary solution/workaround for the pricing off the top of my head,im sure other people will suggest better ideas.
On the bottom of the "needs edits" page there is the "Actions" list.
There are several things to do there including batch pricing although it works on files as a whole (or sets price for the top resolution on associated files).

Is it too hard to modify this and add a line where someone can batch-alter the price on the hd downconverted clip by selecting the 4k clips on that page?
For example "set price on auto-downconverted clip".
You could also implement various actions, ive noticed that some people have in the past associated 3-4 files in various resolutions.
So you could add lines to set prices from top to bottom like "Set price 1" ,"Set price 2" ,"Set price 3" "Set price 4" .

It's simple!

1. In batch tag video, after normal price to add price for downconverted clip (HD)

or

2. In preferences or in other place to set our own percentage for downconverted clip (HD) which now is 75%.

First option is the best option because you give to the artists freedom to have different prices for different types of footage.

+1 for what sevart says.
