GH4

Out of curiosity, do any of you own a Rokinon lense? Honestly, I never heard of them until just now. I'm looking at wide angle/fisheye lenses for the GH4 for some experimental shooting. The 7-14mm looks amazing, but very expensive for a 3rd lense. The 8mm Panasonic is still not cheap. But now I found this 7.5mm Rokinon lense which gets good reviews. It costs 'only' 249 US dollars at B&H at the moment. Any thoughts?

I rented a couple of them from BorrowLenses.com to test and use at an outdoor concert with my T4i last year. I found them to be amazingly sharp and nice to use. I plan on purchasing a couple of them later this year.

Rokinon and Samyang are the same, Just another name. Korean made, good lense. I tested one on GH2 already. Sharp....
How can you buy it in B&H? Are you in the states now?

Thanks guys, I'm going to order the lense. It's on discount until Tuesday.

Actually, 'we' can just order goods from the US. You do pay for shipping overseas, custom fees, and local (Dutch) VAT upon delivery. But, if you're registered as a company, you can reclaim the VAT.

So essentially you pay the custom fees and shipping costs. This totals about US$100 as I'm also purchasing the 12-35mm (also on discount, US$900 vs 1k euros here) and a few SD cards. You need to buy quite a few things to make it worth it, and you do get less warranty (I believe it's one year instead of two).

In Germany 12-35mm cost €850 including 19% VAT.

Samyang fisheye 7,5mm

And you have full 2 years garantie in EU, and good to resell it in EU as well.
I would not recommend to buy in USA. IMO

I've just joined the GH4 club, and so far love the little camera. Only had it a week, but so nice going out minus a big heavy camera. I think my PMW EX1R will have a good rest now! I purchased a great lens - Voigtlander Nokton 25mm F0.95 MFT. Shame it does not have stabilizer though.

I am waiting for the Bower, Rokinon, Samyang 7.5 for M4/3 to go on sale at $199 as they do from time to time, I want it for my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera for a wide angle.

Normstock,

Can you handle so many different cameras at once.. What about your one camera for video and photo solution ! :)

Has not been invented yet Pat!! I need a mounting bracket for 5 cameras to film at once.

Try to build a 5 cameras cage for all. :)
