Normstock, it is for sale at B&H for US$ 249 until tomorrow. Not sure about shipping costs to Canada though.

Thanks Patuwe. I've never reclaimed VAT from other European countries, but I think it's possible. That would have made 'the German option' an interesting alternative to buying from B&H. Still, I'm saving a few hundred euros compared to buying it here, so I'm happy :)

Not only in Germany, EU wide you can buy.

I have never look at EU link in Geizhals, but certainly interesting to buy.

Hi Stef, Thanks I had seen the lens in the B&H email some weeks ago. Let me know what you think of it when it arrives.
stefhoffer 20 Jun 2014 09:40
Will do Norman, it won't ship for another 2 weeks because one of the items I ordered wasn't in stock (and I didn't want them to send 2 packages, even though they didn't charge extra). Can't wait for the package to arrive!

Thanks Patuwe, I'll keep those guys in mind for future purchases. Dutch stores are among the most expensive in Europe, for some reason, even after deducting VAT.

I found this in eBay Germany, and I feel a bit strange. It may be those grey products (can't go through QC but good enough) without Factory Guaranties and still good enough for selling in a lower price. So the seller provide 1 year Guaranties to buyer. They are in England and how can I trust the Englander seller?
It probably has no invoice as well. Big question !!

The shop is sending my GH4 and lense. Wow
stefhoffer 21 Jun 2014 19:24
Congratulations! What lense have you ordered with it?

The camera also has the option to select luminance range. What level do you guys typically set it at?
BunFest 21 Jun 2014 19:45
I go for 7-14mm wide.

Looks as though the new update to Adobe's camera raw (V8.5) for Lightroom 5.5 supports GH4 raw files.

New review of the GH4.

I had a similar experience as Dave Dugdale when I spoke to a Canon rep at an event thrown buy a local camera store. The rep said that Canon wasn't interested in putting high end features in low-cost DSLRs... Which means they will likely lose the indie film market that made them billions of dollars in low-cost DSLR sales and lens sales.

I've sold off the last of my Canon cameras and EF/EF-S lenses. I might have kept a few, but there is no Speedbooster for Canon lenses at the moment. I see a lot of people selling Canon lenses to get Nikon for the Speedbooster.

Patuwe, let us know how that lens works out. I got the 12-35mm and 45-200mm lenses and I love them and highly recommend both.
