BLACKMAGIC POCKET CINEMA CAMERA

It depends on what you are comparing, if you are comparing to a 35 mm full frame that is pulling information off that sensor for 1920 x 1080 HD format then the crop factor is 3.0x . You know how you measure a T.V. screen diagonally that's the same for sensor size comparison for field of view.

Only 3 weeks away from promised shipping date. Guys remember to help fix all the bugs so I can buy mine in December and post your experiences.

Any delay rumors this time?

B&H has availability July 25. I'm guessing they wouldn't put an actual date if they didn't think it would be on time. Not after the drama with the first camera.
My hope is if they have availability July 25, that will be after the pre-orders have already shipped.

This video has an interview with a BMC guy that says there won't be any delay.

BHPhoto changes status on BBPCC to "New Item, Available for pre-order". July 25 was erased.

Yeah that happened a few days ago. Actually the day after they tweeted the photo that they had the pocket camera in hand.
Pretty strange they would pull the date after they say they have it.
But could have come from BMC as the company has always said shipping in July and no specific date.

We'll see by the end of the month if they start shipping.

Hummm, another late delivery may really impact their credibility. They spend a fortune at shows like NAB. Most companies can't survive such huge hype and continued late promises. Another week and a half to see what happens. It's giving Canon and the MK III more time to upgrade features. Now Canon is talking 14 stops of dynamic range plus RAW video. Other than small size of BM their promises are starting to lose ground.

4K probably delayed and Pocket maybe next week ...

Interesting spec for 4k:
"Professional global shutter for smooth pans and image motion."

The pocket does not have global shutter?

I've been told that "the Pocket Cinema Camera is shipping in very limited quantity" at the moment.
