To those who have already uploaded footage, may I ask what export settings you are using?

So far, I haven't been able to get the colors right when exporting Photo JPEG at 90%. A test with H264 yielded the exact same colors as the original file. I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CC (trial version).

This is probably not a question limited to GH4 users, so any experience that you want to share with other cameras is also appreciated!

I use Ae6, export my 4K from FZ1000 (Mp4) to PhotoJpeg without any color change, and the color are the same as original. Don't know why you need to change color at all. I shot as I wanted (daylight, white balance etc) so no need for PP.

I even shoot more manual by setting temp or K to 5500.

Thanks guys. I don't know why there is a color change between the original and the Photo JPEG file either, since I didn't touch any of the colors. Just straightforward render and export. Do you find it more efficient to use After Effects than Premiere?

I don't know, I think they are the same, both from Adobe, should not be any different.

The best setting is using a white paper for white balance.

It's actually more apparent in the greens and blues than other colors.

I've exported a couple of clips from my older cameras with the same Premiere CC trial version. There is a similar difference in color between the original and the exported PJPEG file. Using CS5 there is no color difference.

So at least it's not because of the GH4 file or because I'm exporting 4K. It seems to be an issue in Premiere CC that I have to sort out.

Exported the same clip with AE CC trial. The same color difference as with PP CC, although it appears to retain more detail. It may have to do with some gamma color coding within Quicktime that doesn't correspond with the new Adobe. That's what I read in the Adobe forums at least. I will post a new topic there and see if they know a solution.

I read you have a FZ1000. What is the non-distortion range of the zoom? Does it shows CA at full zoom? Is the 4k image sharp?
