Canon EOS C300

We're looking at the Red. But as Red has yet to ship or see anyone outside of Red use one, I'll wait until they actually start shipping and see some real world use of it before ordering.

The canon is overpriced for what you get. I'm sure when they release it, the price will be much lower.

I don't really like Vincent Laforet anymore. I think he is all about showing people how much his stuff costs. We saw him at NAB, all he talked about was his high priced equipment.
In any video he surrounds himself with large and expensive lenses like in the video above.

This test is very interesting. It shows how good is the C300 against its Sony competitors. It shows how well the FS100 performs despite it is $10k less than the F3. It shows that the AF100 as serious problems when placed against bigger sensor cameras. It shows that the hacked GH2 in good light for few seconds shots is outstanding. It shows that the 5D has not much to envy what those expensive cameras like the F3 and C300 have to offer.

I already pre ordered one EF body and a set of lenses. I thought is better to have both 14-60 and 30-300. My wife got a bit angry seing the price, but she will be ok before the weekend.

I was joking! I would rather buy a house. Honestly, C300 is a huge dissapointment: HD cinematography??? We all head up towards 4k and they try to sell us an HD cinematography? For what price??? I admit, it has lots of bells and whistles. And the small sensor. 16k for an APS-C sensor? 16k for features that were mostly implemented for free by Magic Lantern? 16k for only 60p(that's available only in 720p!) 44k just for a lens with only manual focus? The non-cinema version of 30-300mm costs only 2500 USD.

I don't care about the 4K part of this camera. No Moire and low light is amazing.
But I was hoping for less than 16K. We'll see what new toys are at NAB
