GH4

It's not the number of pixels that makes the camera better it's the size of the actual pixel and it's ability to gather light. The RX10 is a one inch sensor with 20 MP crammed in, the GH4 is much bigger with less pixels so will have a better low light performance. Every time I will shoot on the GH4 at 4K I will be getting 2 clips per clip as I will render out a 4K and 1080 version, so if 4K isn't successful I still have saleable HD. The Panasonic 20 mm f1.7 lens can be bought for $200 used and is a great lens. At this point you would do better to buy any video capable camera and just shoot some video today, build a portfolio and get some sales. While you are debating the merits of different cameras sales are being lost.

I know I know Normstock ;-) I just am very indecisive and don't want to end up with something I regret buying. I have lost enough business hours of work just reading/watching reviews etc. You are 100% right but I just need to get the right thing. Perhaps get the Sony and if it takes off I upgrade.

This is how I look at new camera acquisition, If I buy something I don't like I can get 50% back on the classified used market locally easily, probably closer to 75%, lets say 50% for example, you buy the RX10 (i'll use my currency for example), for $1300 take 50% as the non refundable part = $650 price your clips at $50 you only need to sell on Pond5 26 clips to get your money back if you sell the camera because you don't like it. There are many people on P5 selling more than 26 clips per month and we are not even including the other popular selling site!! You do need some stock worthy ideas though ;D

What good wide to zoom (like on the Sony RX10) lens would you have with the GH4 ?

Well I have had my GH4 for a day now and so far I am please with the construction quality and video output. I like to manual focus but I have got to say the GH4 auto focus is superb as well as focus peaking and zebras. Footage ingests well into Edius. My lenses so far are the Panasonic 12-45, 45-175 and Olympus 60 macro. Still have to find some cheap PC software to trim 4K clips with. My PC is Vista 32-bit and don't want to upgrade at this time. IMO Normstock has a good idea about uploading two versions of the clip (4k and 1080).
