" I would not be happy with the normal GoPro fisheye in the air. "
Yes, not interested at all. They are really dying out when no new camera out NOW !

... but would happily get GoPro modded with rectilinear lens as that makes them not suck and would truly prove better than DJI 4K cams on Inspire 1 and P4.
Would miss Lightbridge though ... not much can compare with the ease of flight for the DJI stuff and clarity of video (and exposure control and do stills and video from ground!!) so don't think I'm forgetting that ...
It's always a hard tradeoff.

Gene,
You can control exposure with X5 cam only, not X3, right? X3 can set shutter speed, no more. If I remembered correctly.

Exposure control by shutter speed (and good guesses with ND filter before takeoff) on X3. X5 has iris, yes.
RX100m4 with SeaGull #REC has video rec/stop, zoom, photo, etc., but no exposure ... luckily the cam has very reliable auto mode (shutter priority) for that, and smoothly ramps exposure as needed. Most of the time better than DJI stuff, for sure DJI in auto mode not so good (may have improved, but was very flickery before)
Sad thing is SeaGull #REC uses camera battery to run, drains quick ... currently working out camera power supply via USB cable (don't cut the red wire!)

This is Jordanelle. The one right above Deer Creek. I think they may be purposefully draining it for repairs or something.

yup, I see it now. There is not enough snow to fill it or the lakes in Utah this year ... again.

Looks like a fun toy. In real life it is just to inefficient due to high energy requirements and costs and low time of flight. I don't see something like this being successful other than a concept vehicle. For military operations each propeller is a huge radar signature and easy to see by enemy ground and airborne systems. Civilian use not enough electrical power to keep it airborne long enough to be of value.
But, yes we need something to carry a 1Dx MKII with a 100-400 lens and capable to control zoom while airborne ;)
