Slow Motion/ High Frame Rate Video

Hi,

Are there any guidelines/ suggestions for higher framerate videos? I have some nice 100fps footage - sports clips and the like, and could render them at 25fps (I'm in a PAL zone), but as an editor, I would prefer to get it at 100fps and make my own choices. Likewise, I have some 50fps clips, which downsample pretty cleanly to the 'ordinary' speed rates.
Or should I upload both?
I've looked around variously for something on this, but can't seem to find anything - if there is an answer, apologies, and please send me in the right direction!

Thanks

Upload both if you worry about the editors (like yourself) that want the flexibility in post. It is a worthy and understandable concern.

However, I would suggest (opinion) that you weight the likely best expected use first ... so, if it's supposed to look like slowmo, then render it out as (whatever, 24/25/30P) so it shows the lovely smooth slow, as you would expect a person to use it. THEN make the full frame rate version, and label it accordingly.

It is my opinion that you are more likely to make good sales and make more people happy if you present your product (your vision) as you would have it presented to you. So if it makes you feel better, give the original frame rate version precedent.

After you are done and have had both up for some considerable time, please share your results as to which sold more. This would be great info.

Thanks for the feedback.
I later saw a passing comment somewhere else about posting up all the framerates "as suggested". It makes sense, since some use-cases want ready-to-go footage, and others are wanting a bit more control.
Having rendered out a 4x & 2x slowdown, it is nice to see the impact of the slowdown. I think uploading a collection (if that's the right term?) might be best, grouping them, and letting people choose.

I will try to remember to post up when (if???) I sell anything - I'm new to this!
