I just got my new computer, lots more powerful than older dual core as well as the new CS5 production suite. WOW there are so many differences in Premier Pro and After Affects. At first I miss the old versions, I hope that there are really improvements in CS5 versus CS3 and not just a different menu format changes.

Cool!
I guess it came with Windows 7 64bit?

Ya, the computer is much faster and so far it looks like Premier Pro renders much faster also. I think the 12 mb of memory helps too. Now I just have to get used to the new setup in PP and AE.

What brand and model is it?
12 gigs of ram right?

That's exactly what I use, except it's an i5.

CS5 is a big improvement over CS3.

It's a Dell XPS-9100. I called them and did some bargain talking, the sales guy was great. He added a couple "secret" discounts they have to help not lose a sale. It was several hundred less than the online best deals. I've had good luck with Dells, this one has a 3 year at home warantee also. It's a big box but lots of room for expansion.

Our church needed a 5:30 min video movie saved with a different sound track. It rendered and saved it at 720 HD in less than a minute on Premier Pro CS5. Happy so far.
