When I click on Clip Bins it takes me to my own clip bins.
The ones on the home page are nice, but being able to browse all public clip bins would be GREAT!
I find a lot of them to be fascinating.

This is possible right now, just drop the q argument: https://www.pond5.com/zh/index.php?page=search_bins.
The idea is that the q argument should work like the normal search; ex: https://www.pond5.com/zh/index.php?page=search_bins&q=birds
Best regards,
Marcus

It is not finished yet; we're adding more columns, making sure it doesn't corrupt meta data, etc. I think it's best if we write a good explanation in a couple of days when it's more finalized.
But in short: CSV is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comma-separated_values which is a very common way of letting a text file represent tabular data.
Say that you have an excel with all sorts of data for all your clips. You've just gone trough your clips in the excel sheet, updating the price and the description.
For Pond5 to figure out what clip a row in your excel sheet corresponds to, it needs a key. Either have a column called "clipid" which is the clipid of your clip at Pond5 or have a column named "OriginalFilename". OriginalFilename hasn't always been around (added a few months ago).
Copy the columns (including key column) to a new excel sheet and export this as csv. The first row must be the columns named. Their order is not important and they can be any cAsE.
You must have a key column, but apart from that the number of columns you include is not important. Empty column values are simply ignored.
Anyway, only a few columns have been defined and this is not thoroughly tested yet. The apply csv tab is only visible on my_uploads if you have "experimental" enabled in the preferences.

Marcus

On the home page you have 3 random public clip bins.
Beneath that I'd like to see a link that says "Browse all Public Clip Bins" then goes to page similar to search results which shows all public clip bins.

Don't ya'll think that with the number of "public bins" it no longer has value for a buyer to browse? I see a value of having these bins on an individual artists page but I doubt that any buyers will actually look through all of these bins that have been made by individuals.
To make public bins a value to a buyer they need to be parsed down to a valid subject and limited number.
Can I suggest that these type of bins be restricted to an individual artists home page and a P5 generated public bin be established with videos from throughout the site. I suggest that these P5 generated public bins use videos that have had at least one sales. As time goes on the selection would be from those with at least two sales. This makes the bins more valuable since they are proven performers and sellers.
For example a public bin could be called "Hawaii", in this bin would be clips from Hawaii that have sold at least once (when the bin gets too big then clips would need two sales to be included). This would allow many different artists clips to be side-by-side for a buyer to compare. I believe this could be automated based on using the top five keywords and number of sales.
As it stands now the public bins are out of control.
Ok, I'm ready for the arrows, I just think the buyers are overwhelmed and not seeing a broad selection in bins now.

Personally, I like it.
I'd like the ability to sort them by date created or alphabetically. You also need to add the ability to change the number displayed per page (it uses the default set from search, which is fine, but users should be able to change it without having to go to search.
Also, in the popup for the clipbin, can you include the author's name?

to be more consistent with the formatting of footage popups.
