What does it take to sell stock photos at Pond5?

Please share your experience of selling photos on this site?

Ya know, I see all the mainstreamer youtubers talk down on uploading images on Pond 5, I giggle because they each inherited this theory from each other, it is totally false, now I don't sell like I do on Shutterstock or Dreamstime but I sell and my cut is far greater than a quarter and more than makes up for the few sales. I have all of my images set to $20 and considering going higher. That is my experience anyway. But it is a numbers game and you need to be unique, I feel like I am fairly unique as my style is so crazy but it works my friend and it works really well! Just keep uploading, the sales will come eventually.

Hey Billy, Thank you for your inputs. I feel the same way. I had few sales recently although I had only few pictures posted and I was happy to see my commissions were far greater then what I get on SS or Getty. I will now go aggressive on this site and load my collections here.

I also sell on Shutterstock, Dreamstime, Getty, 123Rf, Deposit Photos and here, sales worst ever last few months?

The problem is all other site you mentioned hardly pay anything. SS pay peanuts though you may sell more. I have had very limited sales on deposit photos or dreamstime. The only ones working for me are Getty ,SS and Adobe. Rest all Other sites have negligible sales. Sometime wonder if it is worth the effort to upload to all these sites.

I just hit the $100 mark on Dreamstime, I sell videos and images on DT. Been taking off here lately as my assets are soaking into the search engines, Sales for me have been decent, just tells me I need to push harder and upload MORE and MORE! Every time my assets grow, so do my sales. Right now sitting at around 10k, my other account here is photoguy5000. No real complaints, sold videos on both of my Pond 5 accounts this week alone and elsewhere along with a LOT of images, some good sales and some ten centers' either way it's about numbers with me man, I just started this 15 months ago, LONG way to go!!
