Global Partner Program

I can not find any information on GPP for contributors. I searched all of my account settings and the contributor FAQ. The FAQ mentions it and the link takes you contributors home page that does no good.

Have no idea if I am opted in or out? Not new to Pond5. I am exclusive here. I am new to the forum because everytime I come here I try to search first, Forum search does not work at all! Isnt search first the golden rule of all forum etiquette? I leave frustrated. Crazy!

Hi Steve, you can reach your GPP (Opt in or out) in account/preferences. Maybe you're using a little bit of zoom in your browser like i am too. Just scroll down a bit in the page of preferences if you can't see it right away. I just checked and everything is OK there for me. But if by chance it doesn't show up for you contact support: Support@pond5.com
cheers!

Thank you for the reply. It was my bad, I was missing it. All good now.

I've seen people mention "membership". Is that the same as GPP please? I can't find any mention of "membership" for contributors, only for buyers. I am opted in to GPP so I wonder if some people are calling that "membership" by mistake, or if there's some other thing I'm missing! Cheers. :)

@Jason Thanks for the info. I have no idea if I even want to join it as there's no information on Pond5 of what it even is.

Hey GSfootageUK,

Thanks for reaching out!

The Global Partner Program distributes content from Pond5 artists to over 50 specialty media licensing platforms around the world. Some examples of our current partners include Adobe Stock, Alamy (UK), Amana Images (Japan), Droit Stock (China), Xinpianchang (China), Bytedance (global), and many others. This is a way we can generate incremental revenue for your content with custom partnership deals on global platforms.

You earn your normal royalty share on any income generated through these partnerships and your earnings from the “GPP” are paid retroactively at the end of every month (though some deals are paid quarterly) with GPP payment listed separately from regular earnings. They will be listed on your financials page. Please note that you are opted in to participate in the “Global Partner Program” under your account preferences.

The overall goal of the GPP is to increase exposure of our artists’ content to stimulate sales through emerging and niche markets. The GPP network has been an area of strong and consistent growth since launching in 2017.

I hope this clarifies your questions. If there is anything else we can do for you, we are always happy to help at support@pond5.com.

@Ryan Thanks for your reply, but my question was about "membership". I've been told in this thread that membership is not the same as GPP. There are no details about membership anywhere that I have found. I'm aware of GPP (basically distribution) and opted into that when I joined Pond5. It seems that membership is something different though, but for some reason this is not being explained by anyone. Thanks for any help.

Hey GSfootageUK,

Apologies for missing the membership part of your question! Here's your answer:

The Pond5 Membership program is a great opportunity to expand your revenue potential with separate group of recurring high volume customers. Membership is sub-segment of our LLP (Limited Use License Program) which provides monthly and annual subscribers with access to special pricing for a limited collection of high quality content (currently 6% of the total video collection).

We are currently accepting submissions to the Membership collection and you can ask to be included by simply emailing us at support@pond5.com with. We'll then quickly review your content for inclusion.

As for the payment structure, all gross revenue for Membership is pooled each month, and divided by the number of downloads during that month at each media type level. Revenue is split based on downloads of your content as a percentage of total downloads for each media type, multiplied by your royalty rate (40% non-exclusive, 60% exclusive).

Please let us know if you have any questions or would like to have your content included in the Membership collection.

Cheers,

@Ryan Thanks for taking the time to explain fully, that's very helpful. I don't have a lot of footage up yet so may leave it for a while until I have more (and better!) stuff, then will contact support once I feel I have enough quality footage to offer.

Thanks again.
Geoff.
