Hi there,
a few minor things I noticed while uploading the latest batch:
- I'm really missing a celebrations/holidays category. I had no idea where to put my fireworks footage. Lifestyle and scenic (other) didn't really fit. Any ideas?
- It would be nice if we could upload a preview still image or at least choose from a couple of still frames. Fireworks and some anmiations start with a pitch black screen - not exactly eye-catching. ;-)
- Keywords don't seem to support some characters. I wanted to enter the "lady's" for "our lady's chappel", but apparently an ' is not allowed.
- I accidently chose September 2007 for creation date for some clips. Maybe you could add a check for no futuristic dates somewhere in the submission form?
Nothing life threatening as you can see. But if someone has a bit of spare time, would be nice if you could look into it.

I have a few clips that start with a blank frame and therefore the preview image is a blank frame - I contacted Pond5 about this in December and as far as I know there is something in the pipeline that will address this issue.

Hi,
- We're considering some category options... Problem number one is that the box will be to big if all suggested keywords go there. On the other hand, one can use a menuish thing. etc. But it's not perfect right now. I agree totally there.
- The preview program is told to extract a few stills from the clip now. We're a bit hesitant to make stills uploadable since we cannot guarantee that a still is from the clip. Anyway, newer clips have more frames and you can choose one of these by going to
1) My_uploads,
2) Check the [x] checkbox on relevant clips
3) Choose "Offset preview" in the dropdown
4) Execute
You should now get a popup window. Check the checkbox near the still you want to use.
Execute/Submit
Flush your cache to see changes.

- This is a limitation that has to do with how the search engine works. For the time being, please enter lady and if you want to use lady's have it in the description.
- Date check fixed.
TODO:
- The icons will have a watermark. I'll change the server today/soon to generate icons without watermark. Right now only the stills are generated and alternative icons are resized stills.
- For clips without several stills to choose from, I'll add a "regenerate request" thing on My Uploads.
