General footage critique request

Hi all. I'm not new here but I've only been making a real effort to upload footage this year and a little in 2021. I'm experienced with stock images elsewhere so am confident in captions and keywords, and while I have a good understanding of what sells as far as images go, it's obviously different with footage.

So what I'm basically doing is taking clips of anything that I think may stand a chance of being wanted. I've had 6 sales so far (nothing for over a month) and I know the stock game is a slow one, but I'm anxious to get some more sales soon. I've priced my stuff higher than some without going too high. Most are priced the same but I have a few clips higher and a few lower, mostly just to test if it makes any difference.

I'm asking for a general critique please of whether the sort of subjects I'm uploading are likely to be wanted and also if you see any quality issues. I'm still learning with video and some of my earlier stuff isn't great, but I'm improving my processing and techniques slowly. So maybe don't look at the older stuff. :)

I'm working hard at this and still have high hopes, but some more sales would of course boost my motivation a lot, as would positive comments from experienced sellers here (but please be honest too). I do need more variety as I'm currently limited to staying very local to me, but I'm working on that and hope to have more different clips uploaded soon.

Thanks everyone.

Hi I’m by no means an expert on stock footage but I have been making sales here since 2013. I took a look at your footage and I think you have a lot of great stuff than can def sell. Possibly you may need to include more “staged” footage where you are using models (or yourself!) to get more people shots. More closeup stuff, simple activity shots. For example I’ve literally sold a clip of a closeup hitting the “enter key” on a computer keyboard lol. You’re going in the right direction, just keep uploading and think in terms of THOUSANDS of clips for sale.

@RedMoonRisingStudios: Thanks so much for your comments and suggestions. If this was about stock images instead, I'd be giving someone the same advice you've given me about video - So things like pressing of buttons, including more people doing things, etc.. That's exactly what I do for stock photos myself and they sell well. I wasn't sure if it would be the same for video or not. I'll struggle to find many people to help by being a model as I don't know many people, but when I get the chance I do take it. I sell a lot of social media related photos, such as a finger pressing a Facebook icon and stuff like that, so I'll do some similar ones with video soon (using my own finger!).

Yes definitely thousands is my aim. I just want to get a few more sales to help with my motivation, but I'm still working hard at uploading and keywording.

Thanks again.

Any more opinions from anyone shall be appreciated please.

After seeing my views plummet since taking advice and upping my prices, I've decided to go back to how I had most prices set before. With many searches, my clips are priced higher than all the others appearing on the first page, which isn't going to help me. I understand that many buyers don't care what the prices are and will buy a license for whatever they're looking for regardless. It's tough though to know what's best when my views drop and nobody is even seeing my clips.

I won't go below a certain price though, and how I've set my clips now is still higher than many. The race to the bottom is bad for everyone and I won't join in with that.

I need some sales to hopefully give my search ranking a boost and also give me some much-needed motivation.
