Why do I feel doubtful that "same or better quality" but less than half the bandwidth?
Also: 4K for a Smartphone? Um....WHY?
If this proves to be as cool as they say/hope/plan, then that could spell big advances in codec technology on all levels.
Would the low bandwidth make it possible to capture 4K h.265 then in-camera, without knobbly external boxes, wires and such, since it is obvious that cameras can easily do 25-50 Mb/s or so.
If so, would it not then be lovely to have an option for an even higher bit rate/less compressed?
