Hi,
I haven't done any video weddings. I did do still photo weddings but just wanted to do some video since I have the camera.

I do family videos, kind of like "a day in the life" thing. Put it to music, etc.
But everything I do is HD.

I do have someone to help me but that 15 minutes of recording then dump to a laptop..... Well, like I said I have some time to think.

Thanks,
Jake

Hello Jake,
I now shoot with the EX1 and love it. For purposes other than stock such as events, weddings etc. you can choose to shoot at a lower bit rate setting basically giving you the equal to HDV but almost tripling the record time on a card. For example at HQ 1080i you get 29min. on a 16GB card and at SD 1080i you get 79min. on 16GB card. Something to consider...
Cheers,
Will

Jake, did the hairless man swing you in his arms too?

I like the part with your shadow... you are so recognizable!!!

On topic:

I think I'd be more happy with the xh-a1 to start with.. then work my way up. hvx200 and ex1 are a little too higher level, and I don't think I could take advantage of the capabilities.

Yeah, I was trying to shoot it without my shadow and I was going to edit it out but I kind of liked it.
Also, the music in the video was written and sung by the "hairless man" in the video.
No, he didn't swing me.

I'm still pondering on which camera to get myself.

The link to that article is above tries to take the camera out of the equation, really it's all about the codec performance. I think all of the cameras perform well. But each is going to have its drawbacks and advantages.
