Hello,
iam relatively new to Pond5 and till now i have uploaded about 1500 videos on my channel. But unfortunately i dont have any sells at the moment. But, as i am starting a new business and needed to buy a freepik license for some premium pictures, there i have the option to create videos and pictures. But i dont know what will sell very good. Is there a specific topic that is more likely to generate sells? I dont want to waste more any time. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could specialize in?
Thanks in advance

Welcome to Pond5! It's great that you've uploaded 1,500 videos already. I understand your concern about not having any sales yet, and you're definitely not alone in this challenge. It can take time to gain traction, but there are a few strategies you can follow to improve your chances of making sales and deciding on what to specialize in.
### General Tips to Increase Your Sales on Pond5:
1. **Content Quality**: High-quality videos, both in terms of visuals and technical aspects (lighting, resolution, editing, etc.), tend to perform better. Make sure you're delivering professional-grade content that stands out.
2. **Metadata Optimization**: Properly tagging, titling, and describing your videos with relevant keywords is crucial. Think about what customers might search for and make sure your metadata reflects those terms. Keywords are your main way to get discovered!
3. **Trends**: Keep an eye on current trends in both stock footage and digital media. For example, themes like sustainability, diversity, and remote work were popular during the pandemic, and these might still have demand. Likewise, tech-related footage (AI, robotics, etc.) is on the rise.
4. **Niche Focus**: Instead of creating generic content, try to specialize in a specific niche. This could be anything from a particular style (e.g., time-lapse, drone shots) to a specific subject matter (e.g., healthcare, finance, business, or lifestyle). Niches tend to attract more targeted buyers who are looking for specific content.
5. **Regular Uploads**: Consistency is key. The more content you have, the higher your chances of making a sale. Upload regularly and keep testing different types of footage to see what resonates.
6. **Analyze Competitors**: Look at top sellers on Pond5 and check out their best-selling content. This will give you insight into what's working and potentially guide your creative process.
### Specific Video Topics That Tend to Sell Well:
1. **Business/Corporate**: These are some of the best-selling categories because businesses constantly need professional stock footage for presentations, ads, and websites. Think of themes like business meetings, financial growth, office life, leadership, innovation, and teamwork.
2. **Technology**: With the rise of AI, robotics, 5G, and digital transformation, footage of these topics is highly in demand. Videos showing tech in action, such as close-ups of devices or people using advanced tech, are highly popular.
3. **Health & Wellness**: Content related to healthcare, fitness, and mental well-being has grown in popularity. This could include anything from workout routines to doctor-patient interactions, and wellness practices like meditation.
4. **Lifestyle**: Footage showcasing everyday life, family moments, travel, and leisure activities is always in demand. Diversity in these shots is also very important, as buyers are often looking for content that reflects a wide variety of people and cultures.
5. **Nature/Environment**: Environmental and eco-friendly content is another growing area. Think of nature landscapes, sustainable farming, wildlife, or green energy technologies.
6. **Food & Drink**: High-quality footage of food preparation, food styling, cooking, and dining experiences is highly sought after. These clips are often used in advertisements and commercials.
### Tips for Freepik Integration:
If you also plan to create and sell on Freepik, consider that their market is focused on vectors, photos, and illustrations, while Pond5 is all about videos. The key to success on both platforms is producing content that’s in high demand on each respective site. Freepik tends to be focused on clean, professional imagery, often related to business, lifestyle, and social themes, so it could complement your Pond5 offerings well.
### Conclusion:
Don't get discouraged by the lack of sales early on. Stock media is highly competitive, but with the right strategy, niche, and consistent uploads, you will likely start to see results. Specializing in a high-demand niche like business, technology, or health & wellness is a great way to boost your visibility and sales on Pond5. Keep refining your approach, and most importantly, be patient—it can take time to build momentum.
Good luck with your Pond5 journey!

Your library looks good. Keep prices high, use good tags and I think it is just a matter of time-I imagine some people interested in creating travel content or those little YouTube documentaries that have anything about Peru in them may need your clips
