Hello,
Welcome to pond5.
Here's a lot of additional information about Pond5
Feel free to ask any questions so I can add them to the top of this thread.
Uploads
How to upload:
Download a free FTP Client, filezilla is recommended. Once downloaded you'll have to fill in your info.
Host:
ftp.pond5.com
ftp2.pond5.com
ftp3.pond5.com
ftp4.pond5.com
You can find the server with the least load here: 'yourusername' > 'uploads' > '+ upload new file'
Username:
Your pond5 username
Password:
You can set your ftp password here (different from your pond5 password): 'yourusername' > 'uploads' > '+ upload new file'
Click connect, once you're connected you can drag and drop your files into Filezilla and start the renderqueue.
Your clips need approval before going online, this might take several weeks. It's important to tag your clips properly before sending them to the curator. You can send them to the curator by selecting the clips, and select 'send to curator' in the drop-down menu at the bottom of the page.
You can find the status of your clips on the Uploads page in the 'clip details' tab.
You can see clip info in the 'Tech Data' tab.
The 'Sales Data' tab shows you the number of sales, added to card/bin.
A customers adds a clip to the bin when he's interested in a clip. One adds it to the card when he wants to or thinks of buy it, however, some users use this Cart as a clipbin so certainly not all ATC will turn into sales.
There's a delay between the purchase and the notification, this normally takes 3 days so in general, you'll get the sale at least 3 days after the ATC.
Views aren't accurate so don't use that as a reference. It's about sales, not about views.
You can see your Sales, views and artist page views on the statistics page (username > dashboard > statistics)
- More info will follow -

How do I attach a matt to a video? I tried to select the clip and use the drop down "attach matt" but then I get an error message "Not implemented yet." Does my clip have to be approved before I can attach stuff?
