Uploads should go one at a time instead multiples at once.

I'm uploading about 15GB worth of stuff which is going to take a while. The uploader should really only do one file at a time. That way we could leave it up in the background and check back every now and then and update the file's info. The way it's set up now, it's easy to accidentally close the browser and kill multiple uploads at once. If it uploaded one at a time, you'd be able to restart just that one instead of three or more. Or is it possible to maybe set it up so that's an option. I'm not sure why people would want multiple files uploading at once. As long as the upload speed is the same, one at a time seems to make the most sense.

Quite agree about the one at a time method of uploading. I've been doing this for ages since I lost hours-worth of multiple file uploads when something, somewhere failed on another SSite. Not one file completed overnight whereas I'd have got two or three through before something, somewhere keeled over. Now I have a faster connection it wouldn't be such a problem, but I was on a clockwork boradband connection then.
It's easy to achieve with a FTP client. In the setup for the program there'll be a filter that limits the maximum number of concurrent uploads. I use the free but very good Filezilla.

Ah, I totally missed that you could FTP it. I'll probably try that out. Doesn't seem like a huge fix for their website though.

Use FileZilla or other FTP software. Uploading files over internet browser never been too good. With FileZilla you will learn that uploading three files instead of one makes slightly difference in uploading speed. It is small difference, but may became handy when uploading bigger collection of clips.

Here at P5 you can stop ftp and re-start at the point you stopped it. Not a problem here. I have Filezilla set to do one at a time also. Don't really see anything that P5 should do. In fact it's working good so best not to mess around with the ftp like a month or so ago when everything was messed up. Correct, SS is a pain in that when you stop an ftp upload it resets back to the start of the file instead of continuing and then that causes a failed ftp load. With the relatively small sound and music file size it's not a real problem but with 700mb and larger footage files it is a pain.

RekindlePhoto is right. There was a time I had a similar problem with uploading bigger files. Somehow I get multiple uploads from single clip, but none of them was right. Original clip was about 10s but uploaded one has 1s or 2s. I did have to upload it again. This was happening to many clips. Since I don't upload bigger files for some time now, I can't tell how often this problem still occurs. If you use FileZilla try to port forward it. Maybe this will help little bit. I hope Pond5 will improve ftp in future. Soonest as I get my new computer I will start to work on some 4k animation and then my file sizes will go over 1gb then I will see how well ftp will do.
