CG and Footage stats separate

For every big buyer you get like 10 smaller buyers, so the average should go down, because its like an exponential fraction formula. You know what I mean?

Goes back to the old warn out discussion on how to price. This subject comes up over and over because of newbies and oldies wanting to know what is a fair price for stock or assignments. I think several people in this discussion ask what their work is worth. If a newbies uses the artist resource and sees the average price is below $40 that is where they tend to go for their HD clips. Having a separate stat on CG, HD and SD gives everyone a better feel at where prices are set and going. Nothing more than that. Everyone wonders what is right. The bigger sellers have almost all decided that $50 for HD is way too low. Many CG believe that $20 is about right except for the real complex ones. I would really be interested in seeing stats on average price online and average selling price for HD. That's all I'm interested in, SD I don't care and I don't do CG.

So if ya'll don't care what CG are at that's fine. I know even when I sell at $79 HD clip it mostly never shows up on the best of the week and never on the best of the month. I would really like to be one of the big boys someday and cheap clips is not the way to get there, just like over pricing is also a bad way to go.

So Marcus, can ya give "me" the average of HD clips on line and the average sales price of HD clips and I won't share it since "they" don't want to know ;).

I don't mind knowing, I guess I see your point a little better now.

Oh and so far I make the same and less from my price hike, kind of weak. I'm not going back though just going to get enough online to have prices all over the board. I even have one clip set at 200.00 right now. The 200.00 is more of a test then any thing.

If you upload to multiple sites, that will always be a governing point on price, unless you start offering exclusive videos here.
