I don't understand - if it's really selling that much, why would you sell it all off? No offense but this seems kind of sketchy to me.

It seems that he already sold his entire portfolio. He probably needed cash ASAP.

It's kind of like he's selling his business and brand. If he is performing that well and whoever saw it was given proof, then it may actually be worth a lot. That would be like paying for a full time job not to really have to do anything (that's how much I made when I was working a full time day job a few months ago). The person who bought it may be able to grow the "business" even more. So it may actually be a good deal. However, it would be interesting to see trends (if his sales have been decreasing or increasing in recent months).

u would also want absolute proof the tracks haven't been pirated from some where. I know it would be easy to pirate this many tracks - due to my massive fame (cough=joking) i have been often pirated in to mp3 form. Im now much more careful using watermarks more etc. If the 20 sites started asking for proof the music was yours - could you? I could send show them screen shots from my DAW if needs be, but it might just be tricky if you buy just the tunes. This is an old thread so my comment is more of an after thought as to what may be considerations with deals like this in the future.
